Advanced lab testing
Across multiple facilities in the area, we use the latest diagnostic procedures to achieve the most precise and quick results possible.
Outpatient medical lab services
The main lab at our hospital is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), and our staff is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
All of your exams can be completed at one location. Most testing is done at the hospital, with quick turnaround times for routine tests. As new lab tests are completed, your results are integrated into your electronic medical record. This enables your physician to efficiently access your complete medical history. Our highly trained technicians communicate directly with your healthcare providers to answer questions about your test results.
We provide a range of services, including blood draws, specimen handling and cardiovascular testing, for exams involving:
- Chemistry
- Coagulation
- Hematology
- Microbiology
- Transfusions
- Urinalysis
Bone density screening
Bone density screening, also called dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), is an enhanced X-ray that measures bone loss. We offer one of the most accurate methods available for diagnosing related conditions.
A DEXA scan is most often used to diagnose osteoporosis, a condition that generally affects women after menopause. However, it may also be found in men. A DEXA screening, which assesses your risk for developing fractures, is a simple, quick and noninvasive procedure that doesn't require anesthesia. Additionally, the amount of radiation used is extremely small. It is less than one-tenth the dose of a standard X-ray and less than a day's exposure to natural radiation.
For more information or to schedule your screening, you or your doctor can call (603) 559-4190.
Stereotactic biopsy
A stereotactic biopsy is used to identify cancerous cells in breast tissue. During this procedure, a radiologist uses images of the breast tissue to take a sample for testing. This technique is less invasive than a surgical biopsy, leaving little to no scarring. It also helps evaluate tiny masses not visible on an ultrasound. All biopsies are offered on an outpatient basis and may be available for same-day appointments.
For your convenience, you can register online before your scheduled lab test to save time on the day of your visit.
Please call (603) 559-4131 to learn more about our comprehensive diagnostic imaging services.
Our locations
We offer full-service labs in five locations. If you are the last visitor of the day at any of our facilities, you will be seen 15 minutes prior to closing to allow for specimen processing and handling.
