Neurological rehabilitation
Neurological rehabilitation is used to treat diseases, disorders or injuries related to the nervous system. Depending on the severity of the condition, neurological rehabilitation can be done on an inpatient or outpatient basis and is designed to improve brain function and independence.
Conditions treated by our neurological therapists
We use therapeutic intervention to provide treatment for various conditions, including:
- Alzheimer's disease
- Brain injuries
- Brain tumors
- Headaches
- Head injuries
- Migraines
- Multiple sclerosis (MS)
- Parkinson's disease
- Stroke
Rehabilitative neurological care
If you have a debilitating neurological injury or illness, we help you recover your memory or movement skills as much as possible. Our dedicated rehabilitation program can help improve your independence, employment, leisure activities and socialization.
Services we offer
Through our network, we provide:
- Inpatient rehabilitation — If you are a qualified candidate, we offer focused, intensive treatments and therapies during a designated period at a nearby inpatient rehabilitation facility.
- Outpatient rehabilitation — We provide physical, occupational, speech-language, swallowing and aquatic therapy at our Center for Rehabilitation & Wellness. These treatment options are delivered with one-on-one support and tailored to your unique situation.
Our neuro day rehabilitation program
On your behalf, your care team will meet weekly to share progress and collaborate on strategies to meet your goals. We will track your functional progress and evaluate your results with you, including an assessment three months after you complete the neuro day program.
If you have experienced a stroke or head injury and are able to live at home, we can help increase your independence through:
- Exploration of your work and volunteer interests
- Family and community education
- Practical learning experiences in clinical, community and home settings
- Support in returning to work or school
Your family members can also participate in our program. They may benefit from counseling and support, as well as education on managing your care and continued progress once your time with us is complete.
